Do The Dance

Director:  DQ Hayes

Producers: Ed Fletcher

Genre:  Feature-length documentary

“Do the Dance” is a 60-minute documentary exploring the historic 1969 Northern California strip club indecency trial that made national headlines when the judge ordered the dancer to perform her full-nude show for the jury. The project also uses this precedent-setting trial to explore the modern free expression movement, exotic expression and two American cities’ starkly different responses to adult entertainment.

Goldie

Director:  Matthew Gilliam

Screenwriter:  Ed Fletcher

Genre:  Drama

A modern twist on a storybook classic, Goldie is a dramatic short about a young woman trying find her way after making a big life change.

Goldie was a submission in the 2014 Sacramento International Film Festival’s 48-hour film challenge where it won the “Audience Choice” award. While no additional footage has been shot, the film has been re-edited and scored for broader release.

What the film lacks in production value (it was shot in a weekend), it makes up for in heart with a story that pulls in audiences.

The film was directed by Matthew Gilliam, a Sacramento indie film maker with fast growing resume and stars the talented Christa Qiin. Goldie was written by Sacramento Bee reporter Ed Fletcher, who is also growing a film resume.

Dance Step of Death

Director:  AK Long

Screenwriter:  Ed Fletcher

Genre:  Zombie Comedy

In 2012, Ed Fletcher's Perpetual F Entertainment and AK Long's Mystery Zone Productions teamed up to produce the short zombie comedy "Dance Step of Death." The film, which debuted at the Sacramento Film and Music Festival, follows the real superhero "Adventure Patrol" as they investigate some strange happenings.

A tight budget and a tighter timeline didn't stop the band of zombies, dancers, technicians and other assorted crew from executing. The film stars Jessica Benz, Chester “Cheetah” Patterson and Christopher Smith.
